Very early Navy SEAL challenge coin–from my understanding this coin was specially made in a limited number and awarded to SEAL warriors in the mid-80s as per written correspondence with me. I was able to acquired this coin from a militaria special forces collector who’s collection is filled with early special forces challenge coins from the 1970s-1990s. If you have any other information about this item please write me. I have acquired an original certificate (Certificate NOT FOR SALE). This coin was awarded in the 1980s by the President of Elite Military Coins (EMC85) to Navy NAVSPECWAR SEALs. This challenge coin is arguable the earliest Navy SEAL challenge coin made. Some of these challenge coins have “Serial Numbers” which matched the “number” on the certificate. This particular coin made by EMC does not have a serial number on it.
