Introducing th SUPER MARIO/BOWSER SUPER RONIN CHIEF US NAVY CHALLENGE COIN! Background: A Military distributed challenge coin to members belonging to a certain unit / detachment / group in the U. This was presented to US Navy CPOs (Chief Petty Officers) The folks responsible for the design seemed to have a preference for Japanese. This coin came in different colored variants – this is the Iridescent color shifting variant, also called “oil spill” color. FRONT OF COIN: We see Mario, but like a Japanese Ronin/Samurai style! The coin body exhibits a high relief design, everything can be felt, giving the coin a 3D effect. Mario wearing a Helmet with long extending tips, the center of the Helmet has a Power Star! A darkish brown color – this specific surface feels grainy, unlike the rest of the coin. We see 2 accompanying mushrooms hanging on each side. REAR OF COIN: BOWSER! – amazing design/pose of Bowser with a clenched fist, looking sinister. The top tips of the helmet on read RONIN CHIEF, and the colorful words above Bowser, SUPER – so SUPER RONIN CHIEF. To the left of bowser is a small Question Mark Block design – but inside that block is the US-N Anchor logo! Coin is an all metal body, feels heavy, and incredible.
