Naval Special Warfare Development Group. SEAL Team 6 / Six. Special Mission Unit / SMU. Condition: Unused, and in nice shape. This coin is approximately 2 inches in diameter. This coin has been authenticated and is a legit DEVGRU Command Challenge Coin. Designed and created by a company in Virginia Beach, Virginia for only this customer. This Virginia Beach based company is the only source for this specific product and it is only. Therefore, this coin is not for sale to the general public. This is the newest DEVGRU Command coin, and the images on the flip side of the coin is a memorial to the lives lost on 9-11. It is a piece of steel from the Twin Towers in the shape of King Neptune’s Trident. It is marked “PDM” for the American steel company Pittsburg Des Moines (PDM) Steel of which the Twin Towers was constructed. NOTE : The images have been blacked out in area to deter fakes being made. Special mission units are commanded and controlled by Joint Special Operations Command. In addition to performing highly classified activities the special mission units are also tasked with “special missions”, sometimes referring to unconventional warfare.
